Cloud Security Engineer

Our cleint has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Security Engineer (Azure focused) to join our FedRAMP team located in Melville, New York. The Cloud Security Engineer will utilize his/hers broad knowledge of information technology administration and network security to perform the activities to lead in the design and maintenance of FedRAMP compliant solutions

Key Responsibilities

Provide Operational support for Security Operations related activities that can include, but not limited to:• Using / configuring / managing Azure Security Center• Security monitoring including log aggregation/centralization, correlation, and alerting of security events and incidents

  • Participates in the incident response and investigation process
  • Submit requests for addition or removal of permissions/roles for accounts for users Conduct account reviews Determine auditable events and review on an annual basis Configure rules for real-time alerting in SIEM tool for events Review and analyze audit records weekly for identified unusual activity and provide evidence of review and/or findings
  • Create queries for specific audit reports based on auditable events criteria• Participate in tabletop and functional contingency plan testing annually• Participate in tabletop and functional incident response testing annually
  • Participate in incident response training annually Participate in contingency training annually

Role Criteria:

5-7 years working experience in various IT related disciplines including networking, computer operating systems, web or enterprise business applications, information security including firewall configuration, network management, and cloud applications•

Microsoft Azure cloud services including but not limited to: Azure AD, Azure SQL, Azure Security CenterKeyVault, VNic, App Gateway / WAF, PowerShell / CLI, Cloud Shell scripting, Disk Encryption / Key storage, Monitor, Log analytics, Health probes•

Linux and Windows Server Administration• Standardized technical problem solving skills working toward problem resolution.•

Suggest process or architecture improvement based on issue resolution• Ability to work independently.• Request technical support from team or 3rd party sources when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Provide Operational Support and Lead Security Operations for Canon’s FedRAMP offerings• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required•
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies is required• Microsoft Azure Security related certifications are strongly recommended•
  • Experience with FedRAMP compliance is preferred•
  • Information Security related certifications are strongly recommended•
  • Punctual and capable of managing assigned deadlines•
  • Detail oriented and presents ideas clearly and concisely•
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills•
  • Exhibits good problem-solving skills•
  • Ability to work well in teams and manage multiple priorities•
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
