The Forum Group is working with a leading healthcare provider in search of a talented Medical Receptionist.

  • Patient scheduling through EPIC
  • Obtaining Patient Health Information
  • Filing Medical Records to ensure HIPAA confidentiality laws
  • Interacting with patients coming into the office
  • Preparing patient charts for following day appointments
  • Purging charts to go into archiving
  • Responsible for directing patients to various departments throughout the Hospital
  • Collaborating with Office Coordinator and Medical Staff to complete tasks
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating information in database as new information becomes available through patient registration
  • Determine patient’s needs and process according to case type, as well as assisting in the checking in and out of patients
  • Monitor delivery of care by scheduling patient appointments in accordance to physicians schedule as well as the completion of data entry and data retrieval tasks using the Epic software system to organize patient charts and prepare patient and facility reports
  • Verify patient insurance benefits, relay information on relevant payment and billing/collection policies and collect patient responsibility payments
  • Order patients’ diagnostic and imaging tests based on their case type and correspond the results to the patients and physicians
  • Facilitated daily administrative functions, including customer service, patient verification, and registration
  • Scheduled and verified patient appointments; scheduled appointments with secondary care providers
  • Collected patient co-payments and recorded payment transactions; obtained third party payer authorization for services provided and communicated outstanding balances to insurance companies and to patients
